All-in-One Grow Bags

Mycelio's All-in-One Mushroom Grow Bag

Take the guesswork out of growing with Mycelio’s All-in-One Mushroom Grow Bags—designed for beginners in mind. Available in 3lb and 5lb sizes, each bag is built for convenience and performance, combining premium ingredients with a state-of-the-art sterile prep process that puts your success first.

Culture or spores not included.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Always begin by sanitizing workspace, tools, bags, & gloves.

Step 1: Inoculate

  • Shake the syringe to evenly distribute the culture before injecting.
  • Inject 5 cc of liquid culture into each grain bag.

  • We recommend Pioppino, a delicious gourmet mushroom that grows well in our kits!

Step 2: Colonize

  • Let the grain colonize for 10–21 days at 70–75°F.

  • Perform a Break n’ Shake at 30% colonization.
  • Keep the bag in a clean, dark spot.

  • Recommendation: do one more break & shake at ~80%.

Step 3: Fruit

  • Once fully colonized, cut a slit above the substrate line for additional FAE.

  • Keep the bag in indirect light (a shelf or room with natural light is fine).

  • Maintain 70–75°F. This part is a waiting game—be patient.

Step 4: Harvest

  • Using clean scissors, cut away the bag, and harvest when caps are near full expansion (just before the veil breaks).

  • Twist gently at the base and pull to remove cleanly.

Two-Stage Grow Kits

Mycelio's Two-Stage Mushroom Grow Kit

Available in Standard or Large sizes, these kits simplify the process without sacrificing results. Mycelio’s beginner-friendly two-stage grow kits include:

  • One sterilized milo grain bag

  • One fruiting bag with a 0.5-micron filter for optimal gas exchange

Each grain bag pairs with one fruiting bag—just inoculate, mix, and grow.

Culture or spores not included.

You have two fruiting options: BagTek or TubTek.

  • For BagTek, open the substrate bag, add the colonized grain, and mix thoroughly.

  • Seal the bag by folding and taping, using bag clips, or using an impulse sealer.

  • For TubTek, mix colonized grain spawn and your substrate together into your monotub.

  • Gently pack the substrate down, put the lid on, and remain patient.

Step 4: Secondary Colonization

  • Let the mycelium colonize the substrate for 10-14 more days at 70–75°F.

Step 5: Fruit

  • Once fully colonized, expose to indirect light and maintain 70–75°F.
