Mycelio’s 3 lb White Proso Millet Spawn Bags are prepared with consistency and reliability in mind. White proso millet is a favored grain among cultivators for its small kernel size, which provides more inoculation points and promotes rapid, even colonization across the substrate.
All of our grain is processed in small batches. Each batch is soaked for 16–24 hours to induce germination of hidden contaminants. The grain is then boiled to optimal hydration, drained, and allowed to air dry on racks to achieve the proper surface moisture. Once dry, the grain is weighed into 3 lb polypropylene filter bags, pressure sterilized, sealed, and shipped.
We’re also mindful of ingredient sensitivity. Our sourcing and preparation methods are allergy-conscious—we avoid common allergens like corn and opt for alternatives wherever possible, including in any nutrient or moisture additives.
